Meet Baby Bear
Baby Bear is a great help in our classroom. Everyday Baby Bear brings us the Letter-Of-The-Day card and has different objects that begin with that letter hidden in his sleeping bag.
Today was Jj day so Baby Bear brought us the Jj Jumping Jill card, jingle bells, a jack-o-lantern and a jeep.
Baby Bear is very sleepy, it is getting close to winter and he will need to hibernate soon, but he wakes up for a couple of minutes each day to help us learn. He is very friendly and he loves peek-a-boo!
Be sure to ask your child each day, what Baby Bear brings.

Shapes All Around!
We spent the last week reviewing, sorting, and drawing shapes. Ask your child about the great Shape Family Song that we sing in school.
Shapes we need to know: circle, star, heart, diamond, rectangle, triangle, oval and square.

Welcome To Kindergarten!
This week in Kindergarten we will begin our Alphabet Introduction. We will focus on 1 letter a day, learning the name of the letter, how to print the letter and what sound, or sounds, it makes. Our letters for this week are Aa, Bb, Cc, and Dd. Be sure to check your childs Project Folder every night to see the great projects we are making with these letters in class!
Homework for this week: Printing the Letters Of The Day. Be sure to remind your child that we print letters by starting at the top and going down.
Please continue to have your child practicing writing their name each night also, remember, 1 capital letter and the rest lowercase.
I hope your child is enjoying Kindergarten as much as I am!
