St. Patrick' Day Centers

I just love Learning Centers!  This week I made a whole bunch of St. Patrick's Day centers.  I mean a whole bunch, we are going to have to do more St. Patrick's Day centers next week to be able to use them all.  I got  a little carried away!  :)  The kids have a lot of fun learning and practicing teen numbers, tally mark, measuring and sight words.

Looking for the hidden Leprechaun words.

Found the hidden word 'you'!!

Looking for more!

Hidden Leprechaun word search...the kids had so much fun and they were so good about not telling each other where the words were!

Measuringdifferent sized Leprechauns with tiny shamrocks.

Counting how many shamrocks tall the Leprechaun is.

Tally mark practice.

More tally marks, we are getting so good at these.  I think we are ready for some higher numbers!

Counting on Ten Frames.

Teen number practice with Ten Frames and pots of gold! ( They got to use my 'smelly' markers, Mr. Sketch, what a treat!!)

Happy Birthday Dr. Seuss!

To Celebrate Read-Across-America Week, we made portraits of the Cat In The Hat.  We loved that we got to use......wait for it........PERMANENT markers to draw him!  After that we added the signature stripes and a blue background with water color.  I just love how they turned out!!  What great artist we  have!
