We had a wonderful time in Florida!  We spent 2 days at Disney World and a day at Sea World, both were amazing!  We also visited an orange grove and took a day trip to Siesta Key Beach.  The best part was being welcomed back with 18 smiling faces and just as many hugs!  I am so lucky to teach Kindergarten!

Patterns

In Math Readiness we have been working on creating, reading and labeling patterns.  Yesterday we created AB patterns using colored paper and labeled them with A's and B's so we could read them.  Our Challenge was then to create a AAB pattern and label it, WOW, they did great!
Here are some pictures of my great K Kiddos hard at work!

Homecoming Parade

Go Big Red!

We will be walking to the annual Homecoming Parade Friday afternoon. We will leave school around 2:00 and usually try to sit on Main Street, across from old City Hall. Parents are welcome to join us!
If you  are taking your child home after the parade be sure to send me a note so I can keep track of where everyone is, thanks!

Apple Math

Thanks for sending all those apples.  We graphed them by color and by size.  We also discussed how they are similar and how they are different.  Now that our work is done, we can use them to make treats!

Applesauce and Dried Apples

We used our apple to make dried apples and applesauce.
We added cinnamon and sugar to both and our room smelled soooo good all day, it was hard to wait  to eat them!  I think we made the other kids in school hungry , too!
Thanks for the apples!
