Yummy Sorting!

We ended our Envisions Math Topic 1 with a

yummy sorting activity.  Ask you Kinder Kid what attribute we

used to sort the M&Ms!!

Learning Centers

We started learning centers today!!  I have never been able to start centers this early in the year, but we thought we would give it a try and we did great!! We started with 3 centers and rotated about every10 minutes.  The kids did SUPER with my two center rules: 1)Get Right To Work  and  2)Work the Whole Time.

Welcome K Kids!

Welcome to Mrs. Pilger's Kindergarten!  We had an amazing first week getting to know each other and getting familiar with our routine and schedule.  We read all sorts of Bear books the first week, including Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See?  It quickly became a favorite for all of us!  Hope you enjoyed the 'reading' home work that went along with it, your K Kids are amazing!

This week is all about Nursery Rhymes.  We can learn A LOT from practicing Nursery Rhymes.  We are focusing on rhyming, cadence and fluency: all great reading traits.

We also started our new Math Program this week.  We are focusing on sorting, different and alike or same.

In all the fun last week I took lots if individual pictures of my K Kids but no group shot.....will be coming!
